Playing at the River

I love lazy summer afternoons.  Especially when I get to spend them exploring new places like the Provo River.

I was looking for fish, Mckay must have been looking for birds. All I can say is... his face is epic, and hilarious in this picture.

La Caille

The pictures really don't do it justice.

Peacocks roamed the grounds freely....and even tried to steel leftovers off the table next to us.  I just love peacocks.

Its official, La Caille is definitely my favorite restaurant in Utah.  It is a quaint and elegant French style cottage, surrounded by ponds, gardens, flowers and fountains that must be right out of  a fairtytale.  It would be any girl's dream location for an afternoon tea party.  The decor (according to our server) came straight from France, and was the most eclectic collection of classical art, vintage candlesticks, and baroque style furniture.... not to mention the food was delightful!

Happiness is like a butterfly

"Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder."    -Henry David Thoreau

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But often we so persistently stare at the closed door that we fail to notice the one that has been open for us all along.”    -Helen Keller

Online Shopper

Since I live in Utah, (one of the most fashionably challenged places in the world) I have been doing a lot of online shopping recently. Now when I say shopping, I really mean browsing, because I am a poor poor college student that should be spending her student loan money on books and not a really adorable pair of coral pumps that will probably be worn once.

However, just because I can't afford all the lovely pieces that this summer has to offer... it doesn't mean I can't share the knowledge! Below are some of my favorite sites.  Unfortunately, most of them are in the U.K.  The cost of shipping will be a nightmare, but the exchange rate is the lowest it has been in years.  So please, for my sake, someone take advantage of it!
